How to get to Budrio

Budrio is a charming town in the Bologna countryside, easily explored on foot or by bike. It is well connected and accessible by car, train, or bus.
Please note that there is no local taxi service available.


By car

from the airport

Travel time: 31 minutes (27.6 km)
From Via del Triumvirato, take the Tangenziale Nord di Bologna towards San Lazzaro. Follow the ring road and take the SS64 exit for Ferrara. Continue to the Granarolo/Budrio exit, merging onto Via Guglielmo Marconi (SS253bis). Drive straight for 6.7 km to reach Budrio.

Travel time: 31 minutes (23.1 km)
Take Via Marcantonio Franceschini and Via Donato Creti towards Strada Statale 64 Porrettana. Follow SS64 Porrettana and SS253bis, then take the Budrio exit. Continue on Via Amorini Sant’Antonio and Via Camilla Partengo, reaching Piazza Giacomo Matteotti in Budrio.

By train

Bologna Centrale – Portomaggiore line: Stops at “Budrio” (1 km from the festival venues) and “Budrio Centro” (400 m).
The journey takes about 45 minutes.

There is at least one, and up to three trains per hour. Please check the schedule carefully.

Sunday’s schedule

bologna centrale train station – budrio / Budrio centro

Departure times: 8:22 am, 12:22 pm, 3:22 pm, 6:22 pm, and 8:30 pm, with a replacement bus from Bologna Centrale. Change to the regional train at Bologna Roveri.
Travel time: approximately 50 minutes. Please check the schedule for further details.

Departure times: 7:59 am, 10:59 am, 2:59 pm, 5:59 pm, and 7:41 pm, with a regional train from Budrio station. Change to the replacement bus at Bologna Roveri.
Travel time: approximately 50 minutes.


By bus

Take Line 273 from Via dei Mille (at 8:15, not available on Saturdays) or from Bologna Autostazione (at 12:45, 12:50, 13:50, 17:20, 18:40). The nearest stops to the festival venues are “Budrio Crocetta” and “Budrio Stazione”.
Travel time: approximately 45 minutes.

For the return trip, departures from “Budrio Stazione” are at 3:05 pm, 4:18 pm, and 5:49 pm.

Please note, the service is not available on Sundays.
