The Festival
Following the success of its inaugural edition, the International Ocarina Festival returns from April 10 to 13, 2025, in Budrio and the metropolitan area of Bologna. This second edition promises an even more vibrant program of events and guest appearances from the worlds of ocarina music and craftsmanship.
Promoted by the Municipality of Budrio and organized by Fondazione Entroterre ETS, with the patronage of the Municipality and the Città Metropolitana di Bologna and the Emilia-Romagna Region, the festival actively engages the local community of Ocarina enthusiasts, musicians, residents, and tourists in cultural initiatives, musical training, and entertainment, with a strong emphasis on inclusivity and active participation.
Extra-Oca
Beyond the concerts, beyond the marathons: the 2024 International Ocarina Festival leads to the discovery of all facets of the distinctive instrument.
Themed tours through Budrio’s historic center, book presentations, disco parties, ocarina-themed brunch specials at Butcher’s 8 pub, to the quintessential Extra-Oca: the markets.
Set within the portico of Antonio da Budrio Square on April 13 and 14, makers and dealers from all over the world will display an impressive variety of ocarina products and models: playable, ornamental, made from recycled materials, vintage and of original and distinctive shapes. Very different models, to look at, to listen to stories about, and even to keep as souvenirs.
